Wir trauen immer noch um den besten Fußballer aller Zeiten, hören ein absurdes Lied und sprechen natürlich auch kurz aber präzise (Enzo!) über Steffen Freund und seine rassistischen Aussagen im Doppelpass.

Ich frage mich, ob «rassistisch sein» so funktioniert wie «schwanger sein» oder «verheiratet sein» – also entweder man ist es oder man ist es nicht. Auf alle Fälle ohne Graubereich.
Wenn dem so wäre, dann wäre Steffen Freund aufgrund der in dieser Folge besprochenen Aussage eventuell als Rassist zu bezeichnen, denn ich sehe nicht, wie man das Eine sagen kann, ohne das Andere zu sein. Darum verstört es mich arg, wenn ich (übrigens nicht nur bei euch) höre, dass das, was Steffen Freund gesagt hat, wohl rassistisch war, Steffen Freund aber wahrscheinlich eher kein Rassist ist.
Ähnlich lief es damals bei Tönnies. Da gab es auch zig Leute, die Tönnies zu exkulpieren suchten, indem sie argumentierten, dass er natürlich etwas Rassistisches gesagt habe, ihn das aber auf gar keinen Fall zu einem Rassisten mache. Im Gegenteil.
Die Logik hinter dieser Argumentation will sich mir nicht erschließen. Wenn jemand etwas sagt, worüber allgemein Konsens herrscht, dass das etwas ist, das saublöd ist, und das niemandem mal einfach so durchrutscht («Die Erde ist eine Scheibe!») machte das – dieser Logik folgend – denjenigen, der das gesagt hat, n i c h t etwa zu einem Idioten, was folgerichtig wäre, sondern zu einem sicherlich sehr wahrscheinlich eigentlich klugen Mann.
Um es kurz zu fassen: Es wäre schön, wenn man die Dinge beim Namen nennte, indem man aufhörte, einmal getätigte Aussagen vom «Charakter» desjenigen trennen zu wollen, der das gesagt hat.
Da ihr sonst kein Blatt vor den Mund nehmt, fand ich das Rumgeier in Sachen Steffen Freund heute ungewöhnlich.
Der Doppelpass («Moderator» und Gäste) ist regelmäßig überfordert, wenn es um Themen abseits der grünen Wiese geht.
Wenn Mario Basler fantasiert, dass man weibliche Fans zwischen den Beinen untersuchen müsse, wenn Guido Schäfer Menstruationsprobleme bei einer Mannschaft diagnostiziert, wenn aktuell Steffen Freund sich rassistisch über zwei Spieler aus Nordafrika äußert.
Diese Äußerungen sind schlimm. Ebenso schlimm ist, dass diese stets unwidersprochen bleiben, sowohl seitens des «Moderators» (das Wort kommt vom lateinischen moderare: kontrollieren, besänftigen) als auch der Gäste. Wenigstens unterbleibt in Corona-Zeiten an dieser Stelle das widerliche schenkelklopfende Gejohle des Publikums.
Empathie und Problembewußtsein: Null.
Aber ein Rassist ist natürlich niemand …
Bei allem Verständnis zum Sportler Maradona, abseits vom Platz hat er sich schon einiges zu Schulden kommen lassen, was seiner Reputation geschadet hat. Dass, man für ihn sogar in der Bundesliga eine Schweigeminute abgehalten hat, ist mir absolut unverständlich. Wie gesagt, als Sportler wirklich brilliant, aber halt auch des Dopings überführt. Zu seinen Koksgeschichten muss ich nicht viel sagen. Deswegen ikann ich den Hype um ihn nicht nachvollziehen. Aber jeder wie er mag.
